Look towards the very bottom of the chart, the 310000 line would be yours

Perhaps some excess fuel on the muffler side..

Is it still backfiring or running fine now?

    What was the original issue?

Got to figure out if a safety switch is killing the engine when the PTO is engaged..

If you remove the black kill wire from the coil(s), you by-pass ALL safety switches-
Thus, when you now engage the PTO, if it works, you have a safety switch issue.

If it makes no difference, it sounds like an "engine issue".

Yep, the small black wire to the coil.

When that's grounded out, it shorts out the coil killing the engine.
With it un-plugged, there's nothing short of a "carb fuel solenoid" (if equipped) not opening as that needs 12 volts to open and allow fuel to flow..

Thanks for getting back to me bud. Right I unplugged the wire and it worked I then cleaned it with contact cleaner and now it works but some times when I go to start the tractor without pto engaged it just clicks then second go it will start. And the other problem is the back fire band sometimes on start up and switch of could the ignition coil be bad the bill is getting high on this mower to be fair….

Sounds like the starter solenoid may be dirty internally. Or loose connections/bad connections.

When the key is set to crank, two contacts (internally) come together to complete the starter circuit.  Check voltage on the side of the solenoid (should be battery voltage) and then the other side (to the starter) .  You should see close to the same.

You can also, with a heavy line, jump past the solenoid (large terminal to large terminal). The starter should spin immediately..    The solenoid is cheap and they do wear out.

I do not know the history of the machine I’m afraid what I will do is take solenoid of and clean all terminals and all wiring to ignition switch as it right under the wheel… any ideas on popping backfire band carb adjust you think?

For the back fire, you may have a vacuum leak at the intake manifold.

Start the machine and spray brake cleaner or use a propane torch(NOT LITE) around
where the manifold bolts to both sides..  Any change in engine RPMs indicates an area that's leaking.
(brake cleaner or propane adds fuel to the leak and changes RPMs).

The other possibility is just the carberator is a POS.  Aftermarket carbs are usually (IME) not as good as OEM units..

Make sure the engine fin's are clean of debris.  A super hot engine can backfire when shutting down.

That’s great my friend I really appreciate your help I’m a it engineer but know basics about this stuff but not a lot it’s great to have people on these forums that can help others. What I might do to morrow is clean all wiring from ignition key to starter etc etc . This machine is covered in oil underneath it does need pressure washing down to be fair.. then blow it of with a leaf blower or run it hot for a while.!!!
