Honda GC 190 carb gumed up with ethnol gas
Working on a fairly new PW with a Honda GC 190 engine on it. It starts with starting fluid but doesn't run. I suspect the carburetor because my friend left ethanol gas in it for a long time. Exactly what does ethanol gas gum up in a carburetor? I took the carb off, cleaned it and the float bowl, and ran a fine wire through the fuel feed from the float bowl. I also tried to clean the fuel pump but it is a sealed unit. I sprayed some cleaning fluid through the fuel pump. The old gas was replaced with ethanol-free gas. I haven't reinstalled the carburetor in case there is something I missed.
