Kohler Confidant EFI EZT750 wiring harness replacement

I have a Cub Cadet Pro Z 148S with a Kohler Confidant efi ezt750 that needs a new engine wiring harness (part #KOH 16 176 02-S) due to mouse damage.  I have the harness, but in looking at the tail end of it, it appears the last 4 connections are beneath a heat shield that is on the right side and front of the engine and are not visible with the blower housing removed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  The front left bolt of that shield appears to be trapped under the flywheel.

Wondering if anyone has experience with replacing the wiring harness on this engine, or can point me to resources that might explain the process of the harness replacement and/or of accessing those connections.

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with that specific machine but I'd remove what bolts you can and bend up gently
the shield and see if you have room.

Depending on the plug end of the new harness, you may be able to gently pull it thru, (use the old harness already in place.

Worse case scenario, pull the flywheel to access the shield. The coil(s) would have to come off as the flywheel ring gear would strike them as the flywheel is removed...

There's many videos on flywheel removal W/O a puller on YT..
