Sitting in Seat - Display stops working

So I'm having an issue getting the motor blades to engage.

Recently replace the carberator and the engine runs smooth now but when I pull the blade switch, nothing, doesn't engage.

But I did notice a strange thing.  Not sure if it's related to the blades but now when I sit in the seat, the little lcd display turns off.  Lift my butt off and it turns back on.

Is my mower possessed now?

My bad that would probably help.

It's model 247.204420 and the engine is a Kohler T8200

    Thanks,
