Kohler 2.25MBM25 with 5hp B&S Engine

I have a Kohler 2.25MBM25 generator with a 5hp Briggs & Stratton engine.  The engine fires with one pull as long as I prime the carburator with gas.  As soon as the primer gas is burned out it dies.  Before I take it to a repair shop and they charge me an arm and leg just to tell me it was something simple, I would really appreciate any troubleshooting ideas?

    You obviously have a fueling issue..
     
    If you can post the model # of the ENGINE (which is the problem)
    would help with the repair as we don't know what style carb you have.

    I had to go back to Dallas so it will be next week before I can pull the model number off the engine.

    Thanks for your response. I’ll be back with the information asap.

    I have been trying for over Four days to upload a photo. It gets to 69% and stalls. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

    From phone or computer? Large file? If a large file have you tried resizing it to make it smaller? I tried a picture out of my phone, loaded in a few seconds. So am interested to know

    Does your engine have a float bowl or a diaphram (flat plate with 4-5 screws holding it on the gas cap side)?

    Due to my frustration I re-rebuilt the carb again. Someone on the forum in another post said check for air leaks around the carb. Sure enough the gas drop tube in the tank had split so I replaced it with a new fuel line and filter and it started working fine.

    I found the model number: 130232. Type 183901.

    They had been painted over and the paint had filled in the die stamp
