snapper rer yoke

Hi, new to this...Im fixing my snapper rer sr1030 yoke. it loses drive when turning. noticed slot in yoke very worn. going to weld new pc in want to know gap? also everything is good other than axle/tires seem sloppy. watched you tube dont say much on fix..
