Homelite Pressure Washer Smoking
This may be a little lengthy so I apologize in advance.
I have a Homelite UT80522G pressure washer that Stopped running so I picked up a replacement carb for it. After replacement, it would run for a very short period of time and then die. It was pouring fuel out of the exhaust. I figured I had a defective carb. It sat for a while and I just got around to ordering and replacing the carb again. Once I got the new carb on, I tried to start it and I couldn't get it to turn over. It would hunt just a little bit, but that's it. Something told me to check the oil and when I open the oil cap, fuel poured out of the crankcase. I'm hoping the previous carb just let fuel pour back into the crankcase.
Anyway, I drained everything, added new oil, and tried to start it. She fired right up and was running great. I let it run for maybe 30-45 seconds and I noticed the the exhaust manifold was beginning to smoke badly. It wasn't smoking out of the exhaust like it was burning oil. It was more like there might have been oil/gas residue on the manifold and it was trying to burn it off. I immediately shut it down and checked the oil again and it didn't seem like there was fuel in the oil. I'm sure there's some residual fuel in there so the plan was to let it run for a little bit and then change the oil again.
Long story short, what should I be looking for here? Should I just go ahead and let it run to see if it burns off?
