Craftsman t210 not starting

I have a 2021 t210 that I was using yesterday. I shut it off to add gas, and check the oil. When I went to start it, it was "dead." No clicks...no hour meter display, no headlights (which usually come on with the ignition switch.
My battery is new (about a month old), and fully charged. I tested the fuse, and cleaned the already clean battery terminals. I also tested the switch, which seems to be good, but there was no power to it. Is it a safety switch? I would think I'd Still have lights and lcd display. It doesn't seem like a wire could have broken...
Does anyone have any ideas?

The ignition switch should have power to it from the battery..

Double check your main fuse, then start measuring 12 volts from the battery to
the switch.  Your losing power to the switch, or the switch is bad...

There is no safety switch between the battery and the ignition. Just a main fuse.

Thanks for your reply! I ran a jumper wire from the battery to the power wire at the switch, and it came to life and started right up. I "fixed" it by running a wire along the harness and spliced it in (after the fuse). I'm mystified about what actually failed.

Sounds like that length of wire you replaced has a break under the insulation..

    Glad you found it!

That makes sense, but it seems strange. I'm not sure how it could have happened. All the others in the harness must be OK, sincere everything is working. Thanks for the reply!

All it takes is a little poke thru the insulation (someone checking for power), then corrosion
    starts inside...

Kinda un-common un-less  it's "been worked on poking and prodding, etc)..

    Have fun!!
