Flywheel removal question

I have circa 1988 Briggs and Stratton on a Troybilt Horse Rototiller. I'm getting no spark so I rewired it and changed out the spark plug and coil. Still no spark. The manual lists points and condenser for some of these models so I need to pull off the flywheel. In the attached photos, you can see the flywheel with an aluminum attachment on the front. The attachment separated into two halves with ball bearings inside. I need to get it off to attach a puller to the flywheel. Any ideas?

An engine MODEL NUMBER would help...

In any event, that part with the ball bearings is for the starter.
They engage the pull starter, then they get thrown outward with
centrifugal force once the engine is running.

That entire assembly is what holds the flywheel to the crankshaft.

If you lock up the engine, just use a short 2x4 and a hammer to wack
the outer tabs CC.   That'll then rotate off.

Once at the flywheel, remove the coil so it doesn't get damaged.
Put a pry bar between the block and flywheel holding moderate pressure
upwards (pushing the flywheel AWAY from the block).

Again, wack the crankshaft with a hammer.  I'd put a piece of somewhat thin aluminum
or wood where your going to be hitting (so as not to damage the crank).

The flywheel should pop off giving you access to the points and condenser..

Thanks for the info. Got the flywheel off and no points! It looks like a stator on the inside of the flywheel. Cleaned everything and put it back together. Still no spark. Model # is 171437-0530.

You apparently have a "low oil cut off switch"...   It kills most spark if low oil is
detected...   You can un-plug it and the engine will run fine without it.
Don't know if that's the issue, but they do fail.

Now, if you have a known good spark plug, a good ground where the coil bolts to
the block and the black, thin KILL WIRE (plugged into the bottom of the coil) UN-PLUGGED,
    you should have spark...

If you do not have spark, (good magnets on flywheel, coil gapped at .010")
and still do not have spark, your coil is bad, period...

Check grounds, un-plug all from the current coil and re-check for spark..

    Plz advise back..
