Kawasaki FD590V Hard start

Engine in John Deere 285 very hard to start but once running it runs good fast and slow idle doesn't have a miss. Cleaned carb several times, replaced coils, compession is about 100 per side, new starter my old one was dragging a bit. Fuel pump is working I'm out of ideas. Anyone have suggestions?

Check your valve clearances. Spec is .001" cold for both IN and EX; unusually tighter than most OHV engines.

And most OHV tend to open up these as they wear causing hard starting due decompression system becoming inoperative.

Just set them two were too tight one a little loose. Started right up! The real test will be tomorrow after sitting for awhile. Thank you AVB!
