Gas in crankcase Vanguard 18hp

Gas in crankcase Vanguard 18hp

Briggs Vanguard 18hp v-twin.
I have bought a new carb to try to correct gas in the crankcase. I changed the fuel pump but still getting gas.
New carb does not have any adjusting screws for fuel adjustment. Only one is the idle screw.
Does carb come from the factory already adjusted and sealed???
Can anyone tell me how to adjust the governor once I have changed the carb?

    Are you using an OEM carb or a Chinese knockoff? Are you transporting the equipment without shutting the fuel off? To reset the governor loosen the clamp screw on the arm. Now move the throttle from idle to wide open and note which way it moves. Rotate the shaft in the same direction as far as it will go and retighten the screw.

    Roy, thanks. OEM carb just got it. Not transporting it just in and out of the garage. I put on a new fuel pump and shut off valve in 4 or 5 hours the oil level goes up about 1/4" on the dip stick. The engine runs fine. 427 hours since new.
     
    The carb has no adjustments except the idle screw. Is that normal now days?
