Honda G300 coil specs

Hi all.
I have a Honda G300 that has stopped running and has no spark, I’ve replaced the coil and condenser and plug, the points have been cleaned and tested.
The new condenser has been tested and all are ok.
However I’m thinking the new coil maybe faulty as I’m reading 1400k ohms on the secondary winding.
I can’t find any specs for the coil but this seems very high.
Can anyone help?
Thanks Lee.

Resistance should be around 6.6K and not 1400k (1.4 Meg Ohms) or at least that is what the G200 has in the shop manual. I don't have the service manual for the G300 at hand.

Thanks for that. I found some specs for a G160 quoting 5.9 to 7 so it looks like a new coil is knackered.
    Thanks again.
