Honda GX340 weird crankcase cover
Hi everyone. I bought a honda gx340 off craigslist. Apparently it was on a pressure washer and I would like to put a new pump on but the shaft is not centered in the engine. Can anyone shed some light on how I'm supposed to get my new pump to fit on this? None of the bolt holes line up. I've never seen this before.

That engine has a gear reduction, probably 2:1 so the output would be 1800 rpm. Not the best choice for a p/w.

Thanks for the reply. Weird, because it was originally a p/w. Can I not remove the gear reducer and put a new crankcase cover on it?

You can but by the time you replace the cover and the crankshaft you would be further ahead with another motor.

I found this engine for sale. Is this the shaft I'm looking for?
