Electronic Ignition Conversion of a 1972 Tecumseh 3.5HP Horizontal Engine

I have a Tecumseh 3.5 HP Model # H35 45515M that used points and condenser, with the old technology magneto; I am trying to convert the system to an electronic ignition, but have had no luck finding the correct magneto replacement. I should stress the magneto is located behind the flywheel. I have tried the solid state module but only get intermittent spark. So I am looking for a recommendation on replacement magneto, reinstalling the points and condenser, or any other silver bullet that can resolve my problem. Thanks

Easiest to replace the points and condenser, pay attention to the routing of the wires and make sure the points are clean and properly gapped at .020". Atom made the only reliable breakerless conversion I have seen but they have been gone for 15 years.

Agree, if the original worked for close to 50 years not sure changing now would be worth while. I'm assuming that the points and condenser kits are still readily available!
