Tecumseh L Series Engine No Spark

I own a TROY Bilt Squal Snow Thrower with L Series Tecumseh engine (LH195SP) that has no spark. Attached is a photo of the name plate on the engine. The magneto ignition coil and spark plug continuity check Ok on my Datakom tester. I cleaned the contacts and magnets on the fly wheel and set the gap a .0125. Any suggestions besides buy a new one with a Honda engine!
Thanks for your help.

Not familiar with that brand of tester. It is just a DDVM it can not be used to test the solid state magneto coil due to internal configuration of the electronics.

Replace the coil PN 34443D and should resolve the no spark condition.

Well I bought a new TEPC34443D ignition coil and still have no spark. New unit checks ok on my tester and have a new spark plug. Any other ideas?

Did you test it with the shut off wire unhooked?

Yes I did. I tested for resistance by attaching to the spark plug wire cap to the laminations on the coil and at 20K ohms and consistently achieved a reading of 3.5. Thanks for responding.

Stupid question. When testing for spark by rotating the crankshaft, do I need to go in the same direction as the engine natural runs in? Facing the flywheel, I believe the engine cranks counter clockwise. When I test for spark, should I turn the crank in the same direction or does it not matter? Thanks for your assistance.
