Flywheel Key Measurement

does anyone happen to know the measurements of the 222698S flywheel key? i just bought 3/16 x 3/16 x .5 inch square key stock, its wide enough to fit in the crank, but too deep to fit in the flywheel.. been sanding forever. i couldnt locate a place to buy it either. thank you

    The original key is aluminum, if replaced with a steel key the flywheel will break on impact. Use the original and torque the nut to spec.

    they're all over Amazon and other places, did you try googling 222698S?

    Plus any local lawn mower shop that sells parts should as it is one of the standard flywheel keys and it is aluminum for a reason.
     
    But its dimensions are 3/16 x 9/64 x 17/32 (69/128).
