Fuel Pump Spitting Gas - Briggs & Stratton

I have a Briggs & Stratton 16HP Vanguard V-Twin engine and the fuel pump is spitting gas out of one of the small holes in the pump. Is this something that can be repaired by cleaning OR do I need a new pump?  Here is a link to a You Tube 10 second video that shows the problem:

Sounds like the diaphragm is ruptured.  Replace the pump.  Don't run it that way or you'll likely start a fire and burn up your mower or worse.

It started after I replaced the carburetor. Does not sound logical, but could that have something to do with it starting to spit gas?

As with all things failure can happen at anytime. I in the middle of an ATV repair where the carburetor had to be cleaned and repaired. The ATV had been sitting for three years. Once I got that done the manual fuel valve now leaks and has to be replaced. I wish I knew that ahead of time as I would order at the same time I ordered the other parts. But it happens on occasion.
