Kohler Coil ID

Had a mouse chew through the spark plug lead on a coil, so I ordered what I thought was the right part, but the legs are different.
CV22S 67518 MTD
Originally looked it up on the kohlerengineparts site, and the drawing looks correct, and it is listed as Part #24 584 36-S.
The two rusty legs are riveted to the back of the coil, then go in to the coil pack.  Then just one leg on the viewable side.

 Numbers on the coil above are 24-584-01, REP 20710-04, 99 286 10

Everywhere I look, the 24 584 36-s coil has two legs, one thinner and wider one like the image below.  What am I missing?

Someone has already converted your engine from the Smart Spark system over the CDI ignition. The coil you need is the 24 584 01-s which has been superseded to 24 584 201-S. Now Jack's has it superseding to 24-584 45-s. But I going by the price file that my distributor provides me.

Also note those coil hi tension can be replaced if you have the patience to dig out the old one.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I typically never have issues finding parts and pieces, but this had me stumped.

This is not my mower, so would rather fix it right.  If it were mine and I was paying for parts, I'd be digging out that wire!

    Much appreciated!
