Manual Throttle on GC160

Good afternoon.  I was hesitant to post here because of how little I know about small engines, so please bear with me.  I am currently in the process of refurbishing a Struck MD-40 Mini-Dozer from the early 60s, but have decided to bite the bullet and perform an engine swap, as the original engine is in extremely bad shape.  I have decided to swap to a lightly-used GC160 exclusively because it's what I have lying around.

The problem I am having is, the MD-40 requires manual throttle to operate, and the GC160, to my untrained eye, appears not to support such an operation.  I recently purchased this carb from Amazon (forum keeps taking down my links so here is the exact title if you want to Google it for yourself: "GCV160 Carburetor for Honda HRT216 HRR216 GCV160a HRS216 - Carburetor for Honda GCV160") because it appears to have an independent linkage for throttle, but have a sinking feeling it will have the same problem.  What is the easiest way to configure a GC160 engine to operate via manual throttle?

Here is a photo of the carb that I purchased:

Thanks in advance,
-Max
