140cc Briggs and Stratton engine overfilled with oil

I overfilled my lawn mower engine with oil and it began blowing oil from the oil filter. The level is correct now but it will run fine for a while and then blow oil and stall out. I checked the head gasket and it appears to be good. Any ideas?

    It will clear on its own. Just make sure you don't have gas mixed with the oil which would indicate carburetor problems
