Maybe Roy will chime in but it looks from the IPL looks to be held with just a bolt and washer if you are referring to PN 05503500. Now the gear shaft bushings would be a little more involved. Either way I don't see snow bowers down here in the Southeast.

Yes, P#05503500. I have removed the 3 small bolts and the larger centre bolt but the triangular shaped bearing Support is my concern. Do I just pry (gently) it off as it is quite snug up against the side of the blower housing. Snow time is go time... ski, skate and snow-blow!

I believe you need to remove the whole auger assembly from the housing. Split the housing from the tractor section. Then slide the auger and fan assembly forward, believe the sliding jaw(coupler) and spring might stay in housing but also might fall when shaft is slid forward. Been a couple years since I had one of mine apart! Would be a good time to inspect and maybe replace the bearing at the back of housing by the coupling to the tractor. If you could give the S/N I might be able to find a parts break down for your machine to be more accurate.

From looking at the IPL those triangle plates are held in place with rib bolts. Also looking at IPL those flanged bushing should just come out if you pry between their edge and the triangle piece. You shouldn't need to remove those triangles. Kshansen does show two IPL for this unit.

I just recently replaced 2 'flange bushing' on the tractor drive axle shaft which had very similar "V" shaped bearing supports and removed fairly easily from the outside of the tractor frame. Used a socket & hammer to remove /install the 'flange bushing' and reinstalled. Hoping that the R&R is about the same for the blower unit rake axle 'flange bushing'.. with the 3 ribbed bolt/screw's removed, the "V" shaped bearing support seems immovable, but may be due to the years of use.. semi stuck?? Thoughts as to how to proceed.. ??

Gues I need to go out in to the barn and look at my machines! I was thinking the Triangle parts were on the inside of the housing. If they are on the outside they should just slide off the shaft after the three bolts are removed, but if they have not been removed since new there may be a little rust holding them!

Thanks again. Yes, the triangle shaped (IPL) #47 - P#10184 'Bearing Support' is on the outside of the blower housing and it has not been removed since day 1. There appears to be no rust around the edge of the support. I can slip a putty knife under one corner but the remaining edges are tight against the blower housing. I put HD penetrating oil/spray around all of the support hoping it will help in the removal. As you say, it should just slide off/out,, with the damaged (IPL) #48, P#55035 'Flange bushing' attached inside. Have spent much time trying to find some video/info on this but not with great success. Your help is much appreciated. Going to try, prying, hammering, heating it up? Have to get it out K...

Well if you can get the putty knife under there spray it with lube and then gently tap it back in or used bolts to draw it back in. Then again work putty knife under again. Do this a few times and it will probably slide right out. Even up in Montreal you should have a few more days before the snow starts falling again!
