Nikki carb model 808626, brass or silver float needle question

Engine: Briggs Vanguard 23 hp, Model 380447-0042-E1

Ordered float needle kit 808798,  Kit has 2 needles in it.  One brass and one silver.  Engine has a new briggs vacuum fuel pump installed.  Is the brass needle used in this application?
 
My problem is that the fuel pump is over powering the silver needle and causing a rich condition at full throttle.  Thanks for your time and help.
