Central Pneumatic Air Compressor Pump 3hp

Having a heck of a time sealing the exhaust elbow.  It is oval shaped retained between cylinder head and elbow by two bolts.  The gasket is called an exhaust elbow gasket and of course, Harbor Freight doesn't deal in parts.  Looking for an equiv gasket; I have tried makin gaskets out of several types of paper, hi-temp material, cork (not a great choice), etc. and nothing seals.  Any help would be appreciated.

    That is correct; the gasket between head and elbow.

    I would try to find a muffler gasket from a small engine.  I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to match up something. 
     
    The bigger Briggs engines have the two mounting hole gaskets (as do others). That'd work fine as their made for much higher temps..  Looking around E Bay with the specifics' of your mounting holes etc should be do-able..
