Ariens 926 Pro Snow Blower - Shutting Off Problem

Hi All, I'm fortunate to have a quick starting (one pull) and well running Ariens 926 Pro Snow Blower. Have owned for 2 yrs.  In prepping for this season, realized that it won't "shut off" via the throttle-off position, or pulling the plastic key (kill switch).  Will only shut off by pulling off spark plug wire.  Have cleaned contacts at the kill switch and the throttle.   Have checked continuity of same contact points to the ignition coil.  There is continuity.   This happened once last season, but was subsequently fine.
Puzzled and wondering what I might be overlooking.  Would appreciate some feedback.  Thank you and Best for a Happy New Year  - JC  12/20/2020

Looking at the PDF for your model, it came with both Briggs and Tecumseh engines, various HP's.

Can you post the brand & model # for the ENGINE itself?

Thanks for your reply.  It is a Tecumseh engine model OH318S   9.0 HP.  The snowblower is Ariens Model 926004.  Thank you. - JC

Ok, there's a bunch of sub models under that number but for the Tecumseh in general
there's a ground wire that eventually attaches by the carb linkage...

The kill switch is a wire attached to the coil, the coil is under the main cover.
That wire, when grounded, shorts out the ignition coil.

Yours not working indicates a bad ground or wire disconnected /broke.
Find the wire coming out from the cover, it'll be thin. Again, when you ground it,
it'll kill the engine.  I'd follow that wire, grounding it out/killing the engine until
    it stops working...

Part #110 on this particular model:

Part #110 is the first kill wire that goes to the coil:
