IDing 16 HP Briggs Vanguard...

A customer of mine needs a motor for the air compressor on his service truck.He wants to find a new direct replacement.The sticker on the old engine says engine family 8BSXS.4792HLIt is a Briggs Vanguard 16 hp horizontal shaft w recoil and electric start.I tried several sites,including B&S to decipher the code with no luck.I don't know if the new vanguard 16 hp models have the same output shaft od,or if there are any differences between the old model and a new replacement.Also,I was told that a new Vanguard can be purchased without a fuel tank and electric start at a substantial savings.Theres nothing wrong with either on the old motor,if they would fit a new model.
