Having trouble with a Storm Responder

I’m trying to locate a piston, rings and a rod for my Briggs and Stratton storm responder 5500 generator and having trouble finding them. Model number is 21T202 Type 0121G1 and code is 120313YD. The engine blew and I’d like to go with aftermarket parts if at all possible. Also does anyone know what series this engine is. I’m sure there are interchangeable parts for this?
Thank you for any help

Thank you for the information. I found the same on several sites like that, but Im trying to find less expensive versions of aftermarket equivalents. I don’t think it’s worth getting OEM parts for it. It will cost approximately $180+ just for the piston, rings rod and gaskets to put it back together. This might end up as a parts machine.
Briggs should have put in a low oil sensor on these generators as it caused the engine to fail from low oil

Brigg's, on most generators do have a low oil sensor.  Some installed on the front of the block, some inside the block, some thru a dip stick hole.

My sister owns the same (as do I), machine with a sensor inside and that was beginning to fail(killing ignition when the oil was full).  That is a PIA to replace so I instructed her to simply check the oil on each fuel fill up..   With Hurricane Ian hitting here 9/22 our machines ran in excess of 10 days, no running issues...

As for aftermarket parts, I haven't seen any.

I gather your cylinder isn't damaged?  That would be a deal breaker...

Yes, the block and cylinder are fine. The rod snapped and didn’t damage anything else. Engine is apart. I need to find used parts or just use it as a parts machine. Very expensive piston at a little over a $100 not including the rod, dipper and gaskets

Can't say is a real good price but a little less money:

Also no idea if they actually have one in stock!
