Stihl FS66

Have older FS66 that works great. Was looking to mount the Stihl articulating hedge trimmer attachment on the end in place of the string trimmer and was wondering if anyone had tried this? From video i have seen on youtube it looks like it would work. Not wanting to spend hundreds more for a Kombi unit since just purchased a 40 acre tract of land with a pond and want to use the hedge trimmer attachment to clear around the pond. Neighbor uses his Echo extended reach hedge trimmer and came over and helped trim around part of the pond and it worked a lot better than a regular weed whacker.  Thanks
