Tecumseh engine ID

Hello All,

I'm new to this site and need help in ID of an older Tecumseh horizontal engine that was given to me, but is missing it's recoil and cover.  Is there any other way of identifying these engines?  It has several pulley's attached to the crank and had an electric start at one time, so probably a snowblower engine.  Seems pretty small, so probably under 5HP.  Any help would be most appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

Jim

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for this information.  I didn't realize you could check in this way; learning something new everyday!  Unfortunately, this engine didn't have the coil attached.  Thanks again for reaching out.
