Ariens GT14 drive failure

Hi all,
New to the forum here. I have an older Ariens GT14 that the drive mechanism has failed on it. I was trying to move a log from a downed tree when the system completely failed. No forward or reverse. This is a hydrostatic drive (I believe..) so it's not a clutch type issue. So my question is ...is this repairable and if so how involved is the repair going to be. I imagine I'll have to tear into it to see what's what. I'm pretty handy when it comes to mechanical stuff, I do all my own car repairs so I'm just wondering if this is something I can fix or is it a lost cause...?
