B&S 4-post solenoid to 3-post

I have a B&S 31L777 17.5 hp in an old Craftsman lawn tractor. The 4-post starter solenoid went bad and I ordered the correct part (691656) but what showed up was a 3-post solenoid. How do I replace the 4-post solenoid with the 3-post and still maintain all safety features on the mover?
Any ideas?
Thanks

The two smaller wires are trigger AND GROUND on the 4 post solenoid.

The new 3 post solenoid should already be grounded with the mounting plate(replacing the 4th post).

So, all you would need to hook up is the trigger wire.  The ground wire isn't needed
and won't affect any safety switches..

I don't know the colors of the two smaller wires so just try one at a time..
Make sure the ground (frame or wherever it mounts) for the new one is clean and shiny
