Honda dirtbike engine sputtering

I have a Honda xr100r and it runs "ok" cold but after heating up when anywhere above idle it sputters and doesn't run right. I have had the carb rebuilt professionally and replaced the points and condenser. Can anyone help?

Have you tried another spark plug? Valve clearances been checked?

It does foul plugs but I think that is because the rings are bad but I am not sure it is worth putting rings in until I figure out this other problem

That bike, un-less trashed, is worth fixing...

First, a compression test would give an idea on the health of the engine.
A "Leak Down" test is even better...

If your getting oil in the combustion chamber, could be leaky valve seals or as
    you posted, bad rings..

If anyone has this issue I found the answer...  A man who used to work on small engines came to my dads transmission shop and told him that it was the throttle needle adjustment. This is because of the worn out engine it was not burning all of the gas. I moved the small clip from the middle to the top on the needle and it runs like a top. Very happy. I hope this will help someone
