Replacement for Briggs 6.75, model 126T02 0267-B1
Just stumbled onto this forum while looking for a replacement engine for my 21" Snapper, so figure the folks here might have some advice. I have an older 21" Snapper walk behind, model 7800429. It has a Briggs 675 engine, model 126T02 0267-B1. A few years ago I ran it out of oil (my fault) and it seized up. I was able to free it up and it runs again, but has been getting progressively worse as the seasons go on. It smokes quite a bit, has low power, and is now becoming difficult to start. I like the mower, so I am interested in installing a replacement engine. Any suggestions on new engine as it appears that the model currently installed is no longer available? Thanks in advance. Dave

Did some searching online and it looks like this "short block" may be the one for your engine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285734951465 Might be worth the effort to contact that person and see if they can confirm it will work. Keep in mind you would need to swap over all the external parts from you current motor. Not knowing your skill level I can't say how difficult that would be for you. Also would need some things like gaskets and a torque wrench.
