How to mount belt tension spring on a Stiga Multiclip 50SX ?

Hi all lawn mover machinists,

I'm stuck, anyone that can guide me on how I should fit the belt tension spring on my Stiga Multiclip 50 SX?

Refit part no. 6 in this schematic: www.globalmowerspares.co.uk/diagram/stiga-multiclip-50sx-291502048-st1-transmission/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR3xmJXX4XojiXmo2ldiee4WWaK7jjqtVfyrwFo7vMbM3DYWPPdawSbgQeQ_aem_AWdkLHlphNXzLNx0Qsl22_lxQEu4sjSB471jwg9sZKsQ0la0bJjial7FKzh2GvLpaDkZkQ1fiwsDyYu-qr1HrV2U

My guess would be that one end of the spring should sit in position (1) in enclosed picture, this to put tension to the belt. The whole package with drive axis and gear box (I just bought this new due to gear box failure) can move with the axis according to my purple arrow, i.e. the spring should likely put up tension on the whole package, but I don't get it where I should hook up the other/lower end of the tension spring, there is no obvious attachment spot.

Kind regards, Claes

I'd suspect the hole, in the end of that flat linkage rod, (adjacent to the control cable) is
where one end of the spring goes.  The other end  would likely be very close by.

Ok, got your links and updated pic with the spring.   I believe your correct with where the spring attach to the transmission.   The other end (not shown in the diagram) HAS TO BE somewhere close,  pulling down keeping tension on it.  It must be in a very small area close by.

I'd also suspect it attaches to that other point and makes it easier to attach to the top of the transmission,,

Thanks, my thinking is that the transmission should be pulled down, as I indicated by the arrow in my picture, otherwise the belt will not be stretched up and in tension to drive, but I have not figured out where to attach lower end of the spring, yet.
