Tecumseh HM80 no spark

I am rebuilding an old 8 hp HM80 points ignition for my grandsons go kart. I replaced the points, capacitor and coil , set the gap and timing but no spark. I looked at the flywheel and discovered that the magnet had lost most of its magnetism. Is it possible to have the magnet “recharged”?
