confirm governor spring part# for briggs & Stratton generator

Hi folks,
 
This generator came to me without the governor spring.
Briggs & Stratton Power Products Emergency Generator 5250/7350
Generator Model 030204
Engine Model/Type 185432-0271-E1 Code 04020949
 
I'd like to get confirmation of exactly what part I need to order so I don't have to question if that's the problem while I try to get this thing running.
 
To make sure I'm asking for the right part, I'm including a picture with a yellow arrow where the missing spring is supposed to be:
 
I think the parts lookup is telling me I need part# 710874, Spring-Governor (Used After Code Date 99073100), Used on Type No(s) ..., 0271, ...
I just want to make sure I'm reading it correctly since it looks like there are a number of different springs for this engine depending on type and code.
 
Also appreciate it if anybody can just confirm for me that these springs can't just be replaced with "similar" and that they need to be the exact correct part for the engine to run properly? Seems a lot of places are out of stock on the part I think I need...
