Kohler Courage 20HP oil pump question
So no good deed goes unpunished. I bought a used CubCadet from a friend as he needed cash. Told me it needed rings and I had an up n coming repair person do the rings for a very reasonable price. Problem is now that the oil light will not go out. There's plenty of oil in the sump. I've ordered a pressure test gauge. When I disconnect the wire to the pressure switch, the light clears. The repair person (kid) thinks it's electrical - I think when he did the rings, something didn't get seated right and the pump is not being driven. Anyone familiar with these motors know if it may be as simple as that? Seems coincidental that the oil pump would suddenly fail just because it may have been removed to do the rings. Any thoughts/help is appreciated.
