Generac 4400EXL Choke

The good news about my Generac 4400EXL is that I can work on it myself. The bad news is that I constanty have to.

Went to do my monthly start-up test and noticed that the choke lever is no longer attached to anything. I assume that there is a linkage part to the carb, but neither Generac nor Briggs Stratton could find a part for me. Does anyone know the part name or number?

Thanks.

In order to look-up parts for the engine I would need the make, model, and spec numbers. I fairly sure it will either a Generac or Briggs engine.

It’s a Generac 4000EXL. Generac customer service told me it was built by Briggs & Stratton, but Briggs couldn’t identify the model by any of the markings I read off the motor.  They are as follows (from the B&S engine):

    Engine ID: 0042760EHC
    216 cc
    Serial No. 1424243
    Model: 01645
    Rev 00
    Serial No. 1009099880
    120/240 VAC
    33.3/16.7 AC amps
    4,000 watts AC

    Thanks.

It is a Generac engine and not a Briggs per the model id given. It was produce before Briggs purchased Generac.

    Model 0042760EHC > EHC04276
You would use the GN220 service manual for this engine.

    For parts look-up go https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/ehc04276/0430/1503500.html
(For some reason this site is longer working with Firefox so use Microsoft Internet Explorer)

According the to IPL the choke lever is part of the carburetor. Physically attached [Pinged] to choke vane shaft.
Replacement carburetor is part number 0C1535ASRV.

There is one linkage but goes to the governor arm to the throttle plate assembly.

Found an image of the carburetor with choke.

Edit to add correct file location. Deleted previous file by accident.
