BCZ230TS will not run

I have a BCZ230TS trimmer that will kick but not start. Compression is 100PSI (a tad low but is it to low to run?). Leak down test is good . New carb , new SP ,  new fuel filter and fuel lines. No Carbon in the exhaust port . It will run for a few seconds and die. will not run above idle at all. It will not even try to accelerate. Also spark is good, pulled numerous times with spark tester in place no indication of an intermittent. Thoughts?

Yes in my experience 100 psi is bare minimum. How does the piston and cylinder look on that RedMax? Also check for a stuck ring(s). Also depending what you calling leak down test. You need to both a pressure and vacuum test of the whole system (cylinder and crankcase)

Now I did have a couple Stihl chainsaws that had 130+ psi compression according to my gauge plus passed both pressure and vac test that still would not hit. It was caused upper cylinder damage and they were losing all compression just before the spark.

leak down was a pressure test. I have had two different carbs on the engine, both displayed same symptoms. Just used a camera to look inside cylinder, looks ok really wet though. Removed muffler to look through exhaust port. Lots of unburned  fuel on muffler side of exhaust gasket, provides credence to vacuum issue.

Wet compression throw your compression readings. Will cause them to higher than

It also might be a flooding situation from the carbs. Remove the carburetor and try starting this will clear the excess fuel from the crankcase. If it starts after several pulls I would be looking at the carburetor.

I had a couple over the years that flooded even with new carbs due over choking. One particular Ryobi leaf blower about drove me nuts the first day I worked on it.
