Kohler CV22S-75534 - Vacuum Issues

Hello, newbie here, but I am fairly mechanical. Mower is around a 2001 Craftsman
I have what I assume is a vacuum leak.  I have replaced the spark plugs, both coils, checked and double checked the fuel solenoid, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the intake manifold gaskets. Engine starts right up if I detach the vacuum line and manually suck on it like a straw.
There are no oil leaks to be seen.
Any suggestions of what else to check.

Which line are you calling a vacuum line? The fuel pump impluse hose?

Now these engine are to have a minimum of 4 inches of vacuum. This needs to be measured with manometer or vacuum gauge.

Here is few possibles if the vacuum reading is lower than 4 inches.

Crankcase breather clogged or inoperative. NOTE: If breather is integral part of valve cover and
cannot be serviced separately, replace valve cover and recheck pressure. Note: although the service manual says it is non serviceable there is a repair kit for it. Disassemble breather, clean parts thoroughly, check sealing surfaces for flatness, reassemble, and recheck pressure.

Seals and/or gaskets leaking. Loose or improperly torque fasteners.
Replace all worn or damaged seals and gaskets. Make sure all fasteners are tightened securely. Use appropriate torque valves and sequences when necessary.

Piston blow by or leaky valves (confirm by inspecting components). Leakdown test can point which these to look at.
Recondition piston, rings, cylinder bore, valves and valves guides.

Restricted exhaust. Check exhaust screen/spark arrestor (if equipped). Clean
or replace as needed. Repair or replace any other damaged/restricted muffler or exhaust system parts.

Yes, the pulse hose that is connected to the nipple on side of the crank case.

I don't have a manometer to test vacuum. I will have to get one.

The valve cover breather is clean, valve covers all inspected and secured.

I saw something online regarding the flywheel sheer pin. Would the timing have anything to do with this. I don't want to pull the wheel and inspect the pin if not necessary.

What are the symptoms that lead you to suspect a vacuum leak? If timing is off a bit it will be hard starting with low power. Too far off it won't run. Pretty hard to shear the key on that engine unless the flywheel nut has been tampered with and not properly retorqued.

Running a little rough when put away last fall. Wouldn't start a this spring. (Southwest MI). Inspected and cleaned carb, changed oil, plugs, new battery. Basic tune up. Clean fuel all the way to pump, but still no fuel to carb. Through checks and service manual advice, changed the full pump, coils, and inspected full solenoid. Still no fuel to carb, but will run with carb/choke cleaner or starting fuel. As I mentioned, suck on the vacuum tube like a straw and it runs fine.

it is not 100% related to your talk but it seems you can help, I have Dyson dc14 and suddenly its suction power became so meager, Should I replace it or you can recommend something to fix it.

Actually it 100% not related to the gas engine problem. But most vacuum cleaner vacuum problems can be traced to a clog hose or path to the unit. They are not meant to vacuum up hair curlers, pantyhose, kid toys, papers, etc. Any of these can get lodged in the hose or vacuum path.
