Craftsman generator with Generac engine etc.

Hi,

I've got an old Craftsman generator that is obviously made by Generac.  Not running to well, seems extremely rich, plug is black and there is about a foot of flame that comes out the exhaust after it warms up a little, raw fuel hitting the spark arrestor I think.  See attached video if I can make it happen.  The model number on the engine is EHC-00952-2.  220 CC and 7.5HP.  Anyone have any kind of service or owner’s manual for it?  I plan to take the carb apart and see if I can find what it making it run so rich, I’m think a clogged air bleed or a float level that is way off.  Anyone have any other suggestions on what to look for?

The Sear model number seems to be 500.327140 with a SN of 6146081.  I’ve searched the Generac site with both model numbers and serial numbers without results.

Thanks for the help.
John

Carburetor related if cleaning doesn't resolve it then replacement is the only choice. Generac doesn't provide parts for that Dellorto carburetor. Current PN is 0C1535ASRV @ $101.96 MSRP.

Thanks!  Seems close to the correct engine.  Mine has what looks like a couple of wires in a loom going to the top of the valve cover, any idea what that is for?  Is it just a breather of some sort?  The valve spring retainers are also different than shown in the manual.
