Husqvarna Lawn Mower oil leak

I have a Husqvarna Lawn Mower Model 917.384.521 (Cat #6021 P) with a 149cc Kohler Engine  (Kohler Couage X26) PH-XT 1493311. During operation, oil leaks onto the blade housing. It is possible that the oil reservoir was over filled at one time and may be the cause of this. Where is the oil coming from and how do I fix it?

Thanks to all.

Well this is hard to figure as first you need to know if it is overfilled. If overfilled, it fuel laden caused by a leaky carburetor?

Then you must remove the oil on the outside of the engine, run the mower and look for leaks. If you not able to see where is leaking use an UV tracer dye and matching UV light source and the leaking will show upp  under the UV exposure. What matching UV light is that if you using an UV dye that requires 365 nm light then you should use a 365 nm light source. Once you find the leak then you do appropriate repairs.
