Troy Bilt 21" push mower

I hit something with my Troy Bilt 21" push mower. Needless to say it stopped immediately. Now I can not even turn the engine over. Engine is full with oil. I pulled the spark plug and tried to turn the blade. It will not budge. Before I start tearing into this thing I was wondering if anybody had any ideas. Could it be a bent crank or possibly just a sheared key. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
djm1952

It sounds like you bent the crank.  It should be apprent if you flip the mower filter side up and look at it. Guaranteed the key is sheared but that won't prevent it from turning.
