exmark wont start

LZ25KC604 stopped running while operating and now wont start
I thought it was bad fuel as the filter looked bad so I replaced fuel, replaced filter, cleaned plugs, cleaned carb. wont start.
I verified the fuel pump was pumping fuel when cranking. I hear the fuel solenoid click when key is turned.
mower starts with starting fluid but stops running when spray stops

any thoughts?

As you have narrow it down to the carburetor. Is fuel filling the carburetor fuel bowl as it could be clogged inlet or stuck inlet needle valve?

Also inspect the fuel solenoid as the plunger tip have came off blocking the main jet.

while apart I did blow cleaner into ports and such and make sure they were clear

So how do I check to see if the bowl is filling?
Ok I will take the solenoid out and check it-
    Thanks

So i cleaned the carb again and made sure the solenoid is functioning (ir was) and same result. I took the carb back off and verified the bowl was filled and pumped the linkage and watched the carb spray so i asume the jets are clear. I noticed the fuel filter isnt full of fuel when cranking but the pump does pulse fuel when cranking.......

    So super frustrated.

Yeah fuel filter doesn’t have to be full to run. You get this figured out or still need help?

    Not yet.
New fuel pump and it wont pull fuel- i am running a line right from a fuel can for clean fuel. I wonder if the mowers tank is sealed and that helps with pulling fuel when cranking and the can isnt sealed?

That is problem many engine manufactures. They got away from the metal tags.

Okay that is vacuum operated fuel pump. If not picking up the fuel now either you got it incorrectly plumbed or there is crankcase vacuum leak or other engine problem somewhere.

Just wondering how you went from a pumping pump to a none operational one. Previous posts indicated you was getting fuel to the carburetor.

I plumbed it all ways- and verified I had it right 1st time too

    Thanks
