Kohler Command Pro

I have a Grasshopper mower with a Kohler Command Pro engine. I need to replace the fuel solenoid but am not able to get to it for removal. It is located at the base of the carburetor where there isn't room to place a wrench on it. DOes anyone have any suggestions for what is the best way to remove and replace it?

It called a grinder. You will need to thin down a 1/2" (13mm) open wrench so that it fits. Just go buy an el cheapo wrench for this purpose. I have been using for years here in the shop. Another term for the thin wrench is a service wrench.

Thank you for the suggestion. I actually tried that but when it was installed from the factory the flat edge was turned too far and is just out of reach even with the wrench.
