CV740 power loss

I have a 27HP CV740 on a Scag mower that will at some point while mowing usually 45 minutes or so will loose power, it will continue to run but at reduced power.  Sometimes will return to full power intermittently, always seems to run good when I first mow up until the 45 minutes or so.  I have replaced plugs, fuel filter and pump also put a spark tester on plug wire but doesn't seem to miss fire.  Not sure how these operate but when I start mowing the fuel filter seems full but when it acts up doesn't seem to be full not sure if that is common. Very aggravating this engine does have the older coils that they have since gone away from, can't find a procedure to ohm these out to verify they are within spec.

When it acts up, remove each plug wire in turn with heavily insulated pliers. If nothing happens that cylinder is dead. If it quits the other one is the culprit. Both cylinders should drop to the same speed with one wire off.
