Simplicity 7117

Hi all!  Brand new here. Just bought a Simplicity 7117 and replaced the blown motor with BandS 16 hp vangard. Problem I have now is the new motor stalls when moving from neutral to forward or reverse. Put it back 8n neutral and it starts right back up. Anyone have any ideas on how to diagnose and fix?

What is the 7 digit model from the serial number tag?

This does sounds a safety switch wiring problem but need to know the original setup was.

Had some time and found a broken wire inline with the safety switch.  Not sure if it was broken before, during or after the motor swap but it's running like a scalded dawg now!!
