2005 Gravely ZT 2148 control and deck issues
Hi every one. I am working on a 2005 Gravely ZT 2148 mower. I am experiencing an issue with the LH control arm. When starting the unit with the hand brake on, as required, the unit immediately wants to pull to the left. If I release the brake it stops. I have noticed that the LH control arm is about 3"-4" ahead of the RH control when both are in the "Neutral" position. I believe the problem is with the "neutral" adjustment of the LH control arm. Is this a simple adjustment or do I have to practically dis-assemble the LH side of the machine to get at the adjustment area/components? Unit is relatively low hrs, just 194 and it's a 2005 residential use only. The mower deck was beat up pretty bad, I just spent the better part of three days repairing cracks and split areas on the discharge side and at the two outer blade spindle mounts. The previous owner was NOT a welder by any stretch of the imagination. His repairs/welds came off with an air chisel in about 2 minutes of work. I have attached the "Before" pictures.

Glad you said that not your work. I have seen some just as bad.
It looks like that Gravely use the Hydro Gear IZT transaxles. Reviewing the following service manual should point you the right direction

AVB, thanks. The link worked great. I did see a couple of different models that look like this unit. I'll check it all out and let you know how I make out.
