Hustler Raptor with Kawasaki fr651v wont start

I have a hustler raptor with a kawasaki fr651v, I leaned over to pick something up and the engine cut out when i triggered the safety switch in the seat, when I sat back up the engine came on and then went back out. I looked at the fuel tank and couldn't tell if it was empty or not so I put gas in it and it would not start back. It never studdered like it was running out of gas.I checked for fire to the plugs and had fire.I pulled the fuel hose off to make sure the fuel pump was pumping, and it was, then I unscrewed the bowl to check for fuel and it had plenty. I unplugged the wires on the bottom of the bowl and the lawnmower started up but it went right back out I plugged the wires back in and it acted like it wanted run again but went back out. I'm at a loss.please help

On the Raptor the seat switch provide 12V to fuel solenoid (sometimes called an anti after fire solenoid). If the switch goes bad as you release the starter switch to run it shuts the fuel solenoid.  Try verifying that you have 12v at the fuel solenoid while the ignition is the run position and someone is in the seat. Mower doesn't need to be running for this test. IF the 12v isn't present I would suspect that the seat switch has failed.

I followed the instructions and had 12 volts.

I am kinda at a loss too as it does sounds like he fuel solenoid is closing causing the shut down but I actually need my hands on it as I could see something that I would trying to trouble shoot remotely.

Maybe someone else wold chime in with something to check.

When it starts to go back out, will it pickup if you spray a shot of carb cleaner into carb?

What Mike wanted you to try adding a little fuel down the carburetor throat as it is dying to see if it picks back up a for a little bit. Or can try temporary removing the solenoid and install a short bolt in its place; effectively disabling the fuel solenoid shut down feature. That way you know if it the carburetor that is problem or safety system shutdown.

Btw the bolt is metric probably a M8-100 but not sure as I don't a Kawasaki FR651V on hand currently in the shop.
