Kawasaki FH601V

Every time I start it. It floods and won't start. Tell I pull the carburetor off and clean it up. Put it back on and its starts right up. If you shut it off in the middle of mowing you have to pull it off and clean it. Does the carburetor need taken apart and clean up?

Remove the fuel tank. Clean it thoroughly. Replace the fuel hose and filter at the same time along with a fuel shut off valve between the tank and carb. Do this at the same time you clean the carb as well.

Your fuel problems should then be resolved.
