new Rider R214TC goes slow

Hi everyone. Just bought the Huqvarna rider 214. I would expect the machine to ride a bit faster (I can walk faster), especially when I donot use the cutting and only move the mower. Any tips on how to solve this slow mo, other than those (already checked on the manual) such as lack of oil, airpath obstructed, sparkplug..?

Can't find the specs on the 214 but on the similar 220T the max ground speed is 5.6 mph so you may be able out walk it if you are a fast walker.

You definitely won't be winning any races.

About the only to increase the speed is to increase the engine speed but you will exceed the safety specs. It appears that the engine speed max speed is preset at 3000 where the engine is capable of 3600. This provided that the engine isn't already at 3600 rpm off load.

Without the engine number which it has I wouldn't dare suggest mods especially while the mower is under warranty. Contact your dealer to see if can help you about the travel speed. Just don't want to void the 3 year warranty.

Many thanks AVB for your feedback
I found out where the issue was. the regime does not go up through the pedal but rather by actioning a REV lever.
    All the best
